I'm generally very pro development, but this one is disappointing. It's a beautiful, well maintained house. Was built in 1940. Not many like this left downtown.

We’ll have to see how it might fit into a project, but I worry that putting the Ivey-Ellington there might negatively impact the possibilities of that land 😕

Completed demolition permits for single family homes inside the Maynard Loop over time. Of the total number of homes this is a pretty tiny %, but it's trending upward as downtown redevelopment picks up.

I hope everyone got out and voted this morning or plans to by the end of the day. No contested elections for downtown Cary residents this time, but a couple of very important bond referendums.

Nevermind, they might just be trying to bring the zoning in line with surrounding properties. The BnB distinction is interesting though. I don't think the others have that restriction. carync.app.box.com/s/vyvl56ykrl11…

Happened to notice this on the Active Development map this morning. Owners of 107 Park St are apparently interested in opening a bed and breakfast? Pretty house for it and a great location.

@NAMREMF Order of arrival at the intersection, then vehicles always yield to their right, so it goes clockwise. In practicality, it doesn’t matter much here who goes once everyone stops. The bigger danger is people flying down Dixon and blowing through the intersection.

All way stop coming to the 5 point intersection at Park St and Williams/Dixon. Should be a big improvement

@MossWithers Ah ok. I suppose they will utilize the new deck for valet parking? Even better would be some future deck across Academy as part of redevelopment of the old library. Obviously a few more years out though.

First time I'd seen this. Basic overlay of a possible future Mayton Inn expansion. 42 additional rooms. If they made it the same height of the rest of the building, could probably put a couple levels of parking underneath it.

Sometime in the last 2 weeks @TownofCary finally (and quietly) ditched that awful wheel design on the website. It lasted just under 2 years. 👏 It actually looks great now. Better late than never.
