1. Tight lists > broad lists
> Micro-lists of 500-1,000 hyper-targeted prospects beat broad blasts every time.
> Reply rates: 20-30% vs 2-3%.
→ Stop hoping someone bites. Target people who already have a reason to reply.
2. Hyper-enriched data > name and email
> The 1% pull tech stack, funding rounds, hiring signals, current initiatives, and case studies before they write a line.
→ Without that data underneath, there's nothing real to personalize with.
3. Personalized openers > generic openers
> Instead of "Hey John, hope all's well at [Company]," they earn the open:
> "Saw you're hiring AEs for [initiative]." / "Noticed you added [tool]." / "Just read your case study on [X]."
→ Every email should read like it was written for one person.
4. A 3-step sequence > a single email
> 58% of replies land on email 1. The other 42% only exist because someone followed up.
> Email 1: opener + upfront value. Email 2: fresh angle. Email 3: last touch.
> Keep them short, 2-4 sentences, reference the first, add something new. Never "just bumping this."
→ Layer LinkedIn touches between the sends.
5. Value-first > ask-first
> Stop pitching a calendar slot in email 1.
> Instead of "got 15 minutes to chat?" try "want me to send a quick example deck?" or "can I send something that solves [specific pain]?"
→ Let them raise their hand first.
6. Fundamentals > fancy tactics
> Three things decide whether any of this works: who you target (ICP), what outcome you sell (offer), and how you say it (copy).
→ Get those three wrong and nothing downstream fixes it.
7. Deliverability > volume
> None of it matters if you land in spam.
> Clean, validated lists. Sends spread across multiple domains. A 30-day warm-up minimum. 20 emails per inbox per day. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC set up properly.
→ 100 emails an hour from one inbox is a straight ticket to the spam folder.
8. The stack we run it on
