When the first frameworks for local models drop, then yes. Right now, you are (as a consumer) giving away (almost) all your (critical) business 'problems' to Anthropic, Open AI or Google (see Apple's lawsuit against OpenAI). And all of them train on your data and eroding your temporary competitive edge. Local models will solve that in the future.

@IamEmily2050 agreed, hopefully they'll improve massively the coming months. I rather use local models (within acceptable conditions, i. e. 16 GB RAM etc) than paying for cloud APIs which do it maybe 20% better

@IamEmily2050 I tend to let Hermes 'talk' to Gemini to figure out the hard stuff. Wish it was easy to use my Google One subscription natively, but I think that's again their TOS. (they want you to use Antigravity, which is also quite nice)
