🌎 For today's #WITWW mystery location, Yonder is taking it all in at this state's 1st state park, which opened in 1924. The lodge is named for a newspaperman prominent in the 1930s-1960s. Log your best guess; we'll return with the name of this scenic & dog-friendly park at 5pm.
🌎 Pine Mountain Resort State Park is Kentucky's 1st state park and today's #WITWW destination! Yonder enjoyed his overnight here and wants to return to explore even more trails previously traversed by 18th-century explorers like Dr. Thomas Walker and Daniel Boone. #IntrepidPup
🎨🐕 Not just one #ArtfulPup but four! Snoopy, Scooby Doo, Chase (Paw Patrol), and a cocker spaniel can all be found at The Enchanted Forest. They are among nearly 120 tree carvings by Tom Rhodes on his property in Warsaw, Virginia. #canineart #dogsinart #treecarvings

🌎 Nestled in a neighborhood in Warsaw, VA, is Tom Rhodes' haven. He's turned his property into a network of "Enchanted Forest" trails brimming with ~120 painted figures he has personally carved into the trees. In the midst of marveling at it all, we even met Mr. Rhodes! #WITWW

This week's dog-gone good #ArtfulPup is the bloodhound on the tin advertising sign for chewing tobacco of the same name. The brand was launched in North Carolina in 1894. We spotted the sign at the historic Biltmore Forest School (1898-1924) at the Cradle of Forestry in America.
🌎 Today's #WITWW locale is the Williamsburg, Virginia, home of Peyton Randolph (1721-75). As a member of Virginia's House of Burgesses and the elected president of both the First and Second Continental Congress, Randolph was influential in steering America's path to independence

🌎 This #WITWW location originated as a female seminary in 1842 and was renamed in 1895 to honor the orphaned student who came back to lead it. In 2017 it became a fully coeducational university. Where was Yonder? Pop back at 5pm to see if you guessed correctly. #IntrepidPup

🌎 Did you recognize this morning's #WITWW photo clue? Yonder logged >3 miles of beautiful trails during his visit to @thencarboretum near Asheville. Created in the 1980s, it's the realization of a vision that landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted had a century earlier.

🌎 Yonder's #WITWW explorations took him to Mingo Falls on the Quallah Boundary, tribal land of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in NC. "Mingo" relates to a tale of a bear. While Yonder didn't see any real ones, he did encounter these friendly larger-than-life 🐻🐻 en route.
