UNPOPULAR TAKE: In fact is a good proxy for risk. More volatile common stocks are correlated with companies with wider range of forecasting outcomes. Of course, take with a grain of salt. Part of volatility comes from changing discounting rates. Other for technical reasons.

@TheBrownInv @hmacbe My point is, having a HELOC at over 5% now is becoming very tricky to be cashflow positive. Hearing lots of people are negative $300-$500 per month…… and expect rates to go up atleast another 1 percent. I don’t know of many if any investment that would cashflow on a HELOC now!
