A 37-year-old wanted suspect was arrested in Mamelodi East, Tshwane, on 3 September 2026 during an intelligence-driven SAPS operation. Police recovered: Hunting rifle with its serial number filed off, 9mm pistol, 71 rounds of ammunition, Three magazines Stolen Toyota Hilux, reported stolen in Soweto. The suspect was wanted in connection with business robbery and cash-in-transit robbery investigations and is now facing additional charges relating to illegal firearms, ammunition and possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.
