Last week, one of JCAM’s cemeteries, Workmen’s Circle Cemetery in Melrose, was vandalized. JCAM strongly encourages the public to reach out to either JCAM at (617)-244-6509 or the Melrose Police Department with any information regarding these hate crimes.

This week, JCAM held it’s annual book burial! All throughout the year, JCAM collects thousands of worn or unusable Jewish texts and ritual items to store in its community Genizah. Once the Genizah is at capacity, JCAM digs a large grave for burial! #jewish #jewishlife

Agudath Israel is the newest cemetery that was brought Ito the JCAM family. 6 months ago, an elderly gentleman came to JCAM and said he couldn’t manage the cemetery anymore and his family is buried there. This is not an uncommon way that JCAM is asked to take on a cemetery.

JCAM only recently discovered there are many children buried within the Sons of Benjamin cemetery who died during the 1918 influenza pandemic. This cemetery is a labor of love, because no child should be forgotten. Here is what the graves look like now!

Restoration in full swing! Check out the work Epoch Preservation is doing to repair our Ohabei Shalom Cemetery! A huge tree fell down last December, causing a lot of damage to our property. Big thanks to them for repairing the damages!
