Sydney Road in Brunswick is such a traffic pit of hell. Cars ruin every single other mode of transport and aspect of place here. We watched an emergency vehicle struggle to get through the hot, stinky ocean of cars. Keeping street parking here is insanity.

There's been no public assurance on this since 2025 timetable specifications remain secret. In any event boosting Sunday am & evening services has no capacity constraints so just needs political will - not infra.

Frequency of trains turning around at Caulfield (15 mins between trains) is not shifting the peak-hour passenger load particularly well, meanwhile there are at least 7 trains on this line stuck at various stations closer to the city

Major disruptions tonight on the Pak/cran line show that we still don't have disruption comms down - on-train announcments unclear, trains don't show their true destination - and we are still relying on manual voice announcments instead of using signage. @metrotrains @ptua

@VicRoads, a smarter road wouldn't make 30 people wait a whole light cycle because nobody pushed the beg button. It would anticipate people crossing every cycle at 5:45pm, outside a train station. A smarter road wouldn't have a beg button.

It boggles my mind how terrible Windows explorer search is. I have an app that I know is installed. Tap windows key, type in app. No results except for a web page. It’s 2024. How is searching for LOCAL FILES this terrible.

@NormanHermant General Melbourne complaint: 60kmh is too fast for roads with parallel parking, driveways and right turns from the centre of the road - we should choose between traffic speed or access and flexibility rather than trying to have it all and ending up with an unsafe mess.

@NormanHermant For roads like your example which are local and have driveways, but have been used for heavy through traffic, reducing speeds (and traffic volume) should be part of the answer - with lower speeds, squeezing in unsignaled crossing islands in the median would help.

In relation to the Hoddle St project, key public and active transport components were not delivered. For example communication between buses and traffic signals, lane enforcement cameras and bicycle detection cameras. The project's main objective was also not met.
