My Uncle was in the VA and I was his POA for healthcare. VA called me on a Friday night and told me he spiraled down. I stated I would be there ASAP. They said no. Next morning they called me and told me he was intubated and on a ventilator and they needed me there to talk end of life. I got there and he was conscious and had tears in his eyes, he knew 😭 I’ll never forgive them, he was gone 2 days later. One of the hardest times in my life.
