Ah well, I can’t comment on your ‘feels’ and those of others. Your emotions are what they are. Maybe one day the rule and evidence can be seen without those ‘feels’ getting in the way. On another note, will you people even be able to bet in the UK with affordability checks? That to me feels well over the top.

What do you mean by playing up? Was it cast? Or just fractious and moving? Certainly off the vision I saw in this thread, the rearing, the clear issue, happened nearly at the same time as the button for starting mechanism was pressed before the gates opened moments later. I’d say this example is less clear than the Derby. Again because of timing. The closer to the start being instigated the trickier things become, tending to a 50/50 call. But again, in an unideal situation for punters, this rule has operated best for decades in Australia, NZ and more recently HK. And punters under this rule are happier with the non-runner outcome or not, than what is seen in action in the UK without it. But if UK punters decide not to bet as a result of this, that’s the market talking… so good luck to you

One happened before the race was started (Derby). The other as the race was started. You continue to choose to deny the fact that in the Derby the horse was cast before the start button was pressed. That’s material. If you deny or can’t see that well no argument on the matter against your view will be satisfied. So 🤷🏻‍♂️
