@mikehking I agree and that position requires transparency and guidance. If that happens, I’d think it would be successful. I’ve seen where the CTO is open and welcoming and also as a black box. The black box approach is toxic at best

@strapijs Definitely self hosting, great documentation (for API), and open source. Randomly found it trying to come up with a solution that was needed fast. Fairly easy to maintain (waiting for ui plugin docs!)

@Brad_256 Yeah so they have a ton of examples on their site for SPAs and backend. Honestly, their samples are really good. Only gotchas are setting up email smtp cause theirs is sketchy at best (even they admit it)

@strapijs Cases that it did work very well is the backend is extremely powerful overall; queries, filters and _contains, etc is just great! It is such a simple approach to a huge problem and blows my mind of how easy a cms should be.

@strapijs is so awesome!! Had a ton of cases that we thought strapi backend wouldn’t be powerful enough and 9/10 we were wrong. What a great cms! Keep it up! I’m 100% behind you all!

@strapijs Sure! So most of the cases that we did need to modify the backend was when creating (upsert) the model with children records. Works in mongo, but not in strapi. I do wish image uploads were more linked but following the docs on uploads was acceptable.

@Brad_256 Are you stuck with that stack or can you do any modifications? I’ve been using #auth0 and they have both of those as options for authentication. Besides that, I’ve done something similar by creating a user in #cognito that had the unique id from #facebook so could be linked.

@tshrove Oh and meant to send this but passed out, you and I both know there is more to apps than just don't manipulation. Heck, Dom manipulation should be handled by UI/UX but "the struggle is real"
