It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them. I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud. This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It’s a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision. God bless all of you who wanna be educated. Education should be the next trend and fashion, and should get trendier n more fashionable yr by yr, itna k bahar se log come to India to study and India becomes an educational hub.

I strongly condemn the treatment meted out to @RahulGandhi Ji, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. In a parliamentary democracy, the Opposition is not an adversary of the State but an indispensable constitutional institution. Respect for constitutional offices cannot be selective, nor can accountability be met with intimidation.

A section of the media is reporting that I have sought Central security cover following the attack on me in Sonarpur on the 30th of last month. This claim is entirely baseless and far from the truth. I have not sought any security cover in the seven days since the attack. The incident occurred under the watch of both the Central and State governments and they must answer serious questions regarding the circumstances surrounding it. What is even more disturbing is that over the past month, West Bengal has witnessed numerous incidents of rape and other horrific crimes affecting ordinary citizens, many of which have received little or no attention. The safety and security of the people should be the foremost priority of those entrusted with governance. I urge both the State and Central security agencies to focus on protecting the citizens of West Bengal rather than allowing misinformation and politically motivated narratives to be amplified through sections of the media. The people deserve safety, accountability and the truth.

Democracy cannot survive if political violence becomes the new normal. An attack on an elected representative is an attack on the democratic voice of the people. Political differences must be fought with ideas, not intimidation. #DemocracyBulldozed

To every soldier of the Trinamool Congress family, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your courage, resilience, and relentless fight for justice. Despite an extremely difficult and compromised election, you never gave up hope. Our candidates and counting agents were forcibly removed in several places, while the counting process was effectively controlled by Central Government employees. After the results, Bengal witnessed shocking post-poll violence despite repeated promises of protection by the Centre. Central forces remained mute spectators as our workers, offices, and homes were attacked and set ablaze. My deepest condolences to the families of those we lost in this struggle. Bengal has suffered immensely over the past few days, and such scenes are against the very spirit of our land. But this fight is far from over. We will challenge every illegality, manipulation, and abuse of power through every constitutional and legal avenue available to us. We have full faith in the Hon’ble Supreme Court and in the democratic institutions of this country. In more than 100 seats, our candidates and counting agents were forcibly removed, serious irregularities were reported, and the mandate of the people was undermined. The truth cannot be buried forever, and every injustice faced by the people of Bengal will be raised with strength and determination. The people of Bengal know who stood beside them through every hardship, and we must continue to do so with patience, unity, and determination. Truth cannot be suppressed forever. Bengal is already witnessing a DOUBLE ENGINE DISASTER. In Khejuri’s Jonka GP, West Bhangan Mari area, nearly 10 shops were allegedly set ablaze last night by BJP miscreants, right in front of the police. Entire livelihoods have been reduced to ashes because hatred and intimidation are now being used as political tools. This is the true face of the politics preached by @AmitShah and @BJP4India - division, fear and targeted violence carried out with complete impunity. Where are the Central Forces now? Or are they deployed only when it suits the BJP’s political agenda? Is the Home Minister watching in silence while Bengal burns? If shops can be torched and communities terrorised in broad daylight, what remains of law and order? The message being sent is loud and dangerous - under BJP’s shadow, violence appears protected. And as they say, the morning shows the day.

Shameful and deeply provocative. In the Banshihari area of Dakshin Dinajpur, the statues of Sidhu and Kanhu Murmu, the legendary heroes of the Santhal Rebellion, have been vandalised. This is not mere vandalism. It is a direct attack on Adivasi pride, history and the identity of Bengal’s tribal communities. The same people who seek votes in the name of tribal welfare remain silent when the icons revered by tribal society are repeatedly disrespected. Bengal will not tolerate this politics of hatred and insult.
