Set any price you want for anything. If no one is willing to pay it, that isn’t what it’s worth. Equities aren’t “worth” something because the company has rock-solid fundamentals. They’re worth something because someone agreed to pay someone else that particular price

People saying this or that is “overvalued” or “undervalued”, that Bitcoin has “no value”, etc. etc. - here’s the most basic law of economics: a thing is only worth what the last person is willing to pay for it. Period. That is what determines value.

@SteveOnSpeed Buy a stock that pays a 6% divvy. $150K per year pre-tax, approx. $135K per year net. That would be just fine for our family. If the underlying asset continues to appreciate modestly, we leave a nice nest egg to our kids. If it depreciates, we bought the wrong stock, lol.

@whitey_xyz In so many markets across North America your monthly mortgage payment on a 3 bed 2 bath house will be LESS than what it costs to rent a similar house, even including property tax and insurance. This take only makes sense to me in the few markets where rent is actually cheaper.

@antibearthesis Only answer anyone can give is that it's already too big. And yet...it's still growing faster than AMD on the top and bottom lines. Market has never seen a company this big that's still growing like a start-up.

@JC_ParetsX Just too many people calling this a bubble and acting bearish for this to be a bubble. Where’s the euphoria? Where’s the never ending lineup of AI related IPO’s that go to the moon yet make no money? Might be a bubble forming, but it isn’t one yet.

@antibearthesis Back test buying at ATH vs. waiting for a dip. The gains you miss waiting for that dip offset the losses you might experience in a correction. And…you might miss the dip anyway. Buy the highs, but keep a little cash aside in case it dips. Easy.

@myfirstmilpod Good to be aware of but doesn't really mean anything. Better question: why did we hit 23 P/E in past instances, and why are we at 23 P/E today? Only way this plays out as a lost decade is if AI is a complete bust. Could happen. But not likely. Today is not the same as yesterday.

@BuildAndBet @amitisinvesting Nothing groundbreaking. I’ve been positioned in AMZN for a couple months and I think the market is slowly getting ready to rotate back into some of the other mega-caps for next leg up in the AI trade, so buying more leveraged AMZN, GOOGL and NVDA. And copper
