@ESYudkowsky Eliezer, how likely do you think AGI is to create a future *worse* than the extinction of humanity? I'm personally very worried that perhaps, due to subtle misalignment, life will no longer be worth living *and* I will be kept alive against my will, possibly for a very long time.

@lucaswiman I realize this is an unpopular opinion, but I never liked the whole idea of the RDBMS attempting to guess the best indices to use, when you could just as easily tell it explicitly what to do. Declarative programming just seems like a dumb idea in general when performance matters.

Unfortunately, it looks like Dave Rubin and his lawyers have succeeded in getting YouTube to delete the Dave Rubin Clips channel. I'm really not a fan of this decision. @DaveClips, you were wonderful and necessary and you will be sorely missed.
