@timfox @GergelyOrosz But if you hadn't opted out of the EU working time directive (assuming pre-brexit): that would be a problem that your manager would be required to solve. You're not allowed to work excessively that under those EU rules, and it's up to your employer to stop you.

@SiteRelEnby I've got a DR plan, which I have tested, for my home automation system. I still have no faith it will allow me to control my lights if the unthinkable happens and that laptop dies and needs to be reinstalled.

@josebiro And four times as undervalued in incident response. Spend a skilled engineer on taking notes about what happened and what people said in your incident, and reap the benefits when your retrospectives will be more accurate and useful.
