How on earth does a Green Party councillor have the power to send police out to intimidate normal people? That’s what’s really worrying me here. It seems like he’s treating officers like his own personal security getting them to track people down, threaten them, and shut them up over the most petty, trivial stuff. Not proper crime. Not anything dangerous. Just someone having an opinion, filming something, or criticising a daft local rule. This isn’t right. Police should be dealing with real problems and crimes, not acting as enforcers for councillors who don’t like being challenged. Who gave them this kind of power? And why are they using it like this? It’s scary when you stop and think about it.
