First of all friends from the North must understand the phenomenon called “Kolathur Kothu Parotta” . We use the term to talk about the disastrous electoral defeat faced by the Ex chief minister Mr . M K Stalin ,in his home constituency. While Dalits in Tamilnadu were made to suffer by DMK,where women were unsafe and school kids indulged in violence on one another due to drugs overflowing in the state under the DMK rule , when corruption hit the peak limits by DMK ministers and RTI activists killed , media bought out and honest journalists we’re attacked by the DMK men for covering important news ,when every protest in the state was handled with police brutality, Mr . MK Stalin opened AC bus stops in his constituency,went to watch every possible movie out there which his som produced under his banner and called himself “appa” of the people who hated him . Women were hired and made to dance for him while slums around him burned . While BSP Tamil Nadu ‘s president Armstrong a Buddhist and a Dalit was murdered outside his home in broad daylight. Mr . Stalin was busy doing photo shoots with his new hair wigs . He thought he would win . It was a cake walk . He had PR , He had his own PR company .He had media and he had immense looted wealth. He had an IT team which would scrap the last drop of life from the opponents and he had all surveys say that he would win . But my friends what happened to him was a historical defeat . A defeat by the people, for the people and of the people . He still lives in illusion and three months on with a new government in place and dude still keeps repeating that he has won and is filing cases against the polls . He is in delulu and this is what we define as “Kolathur Kothu Parotta”. With extra Masala .

Especially on X, I have noticed this with some of these comrades. There is this constant know-it-all attitude about politics. Somehow being a Communist gives them this feeling that we understand politics, we represent the underprivileged, the marginalized and the student community, and the rest of you are just noise who know nothing. I have listened to some of them in Spaces too, and this attitude is so visible. And I genuinely keep wondering beyond constantly saying you represent these people, where is that politics actually showing up in action? Because these days I mostly see so much of their energy going into pulling down TVK and its cadres and telling us how politically clueless we are. This is exactly where I believe you lose the plot. The minute you start believing you know everything and everyone else needs to be educated by you, you have already stopped listening. And look where that has brought you today. Morphing Vijay's picture just to mock him and this is coming from people who keep lecturing everyone else about politics. There is so much to criticize politically. Criticize CM Vijay. Question TVK. Question what we say, what we stand for, our policies, our contradictions everything is fair game. But if after all that “we know politics better than you” attitude, your political criticism ends up being a morphed picture, maybe the know-it-alls don't know how to criticize politically after all.
