The two are NOT the same at all. If that homeowner chooses to rent out their space until they get back on their feet

If they cannot afford the property WITHOUT rent from tenants, they should not have gotten the property in the first place because they cannot afford that property....

When people say landlords they’re mainly referring to landlords who buy properties with no intent of ever living in them and 9/10 can’t afford the payments on them without the rent of someone else.
