How can you eliminate the entree and not put something comparable in it's place? How many meals had she been shortchanged? For this one meal, I asked for another serving. But we're not there for every meal. That's why she's THERE.

#ProjectCaloriesForCandy I went to see Candy at dinner time Sunday. I noticed everyone else had chicken cordon blue. They didn't give it to Candy because it contained dairy. Did they give her a substitute? Yes. Carrots. Like in what fucking world is that a nutrition substitute?

And everyone is so fucking understanding. Because "I've been through a lot". So they let me not call and forgive me when I don't respond to texts or messenger and excuse me when I spend the entire weekend at home, inside. Letting me pull away further and further. Twice Removed.

But I managed to go see Candy. I don't know why I was able to make myself do that when it was more of a physical effort than a phone call Candy doesn't even realize she needs us. While brother fears that we hate him and my sister suffers alone, just so she doesn't bother anyone..

I'm completely failing at this. Not for lack of trying though. Or trying to try if that makes sense. I just can't seem to see past myself these days. My brother needs us, my sister needs us, my aunt needs us. And I just can't seem to step up. I feel separate from everyone. ..

Something happened. She was obviously hurt. Broken nose, eyes swelled shut. But Candy is not an easy patient to care for. She has frequent colitis attacks. I hate to think it. She's so thin and frail. But what if ?

They called my dad in the middle of the night telling him that Candy had fallen out of bed and they were going to take her to the ER. She apparently landed on her face. It was bad .This happened three times in the course of two weeks. Or did it?

The thing that worries me... That keeps me up at night... Is not knowing how's she's being treated. She can't tell us. And even if she tried we wouldn't be able to understand. What if they're purposely withholding food just do they don't have to deal with the colitis? #Alzheimers

For Candy, time is a hard concept. A decade ago could be right now, and right now could have happened a decade ago. So then why, when she sees me arrive does she always say "Oh.. It's been so long since I've seen you!" Why not, "Oh it's you, again" ? #Alzheimers
