@p_terg It’s how I found out about it. She was asking when my gal was retiring so she could offer this other person the role. I said “oh is x not going to the CS role?” The only 5 (mine) we have open. The response was “well you’ll be back there in Jan” I new that’s when my TL ended but

I’ve been acting TL on and off since 2021. Current stint with no gap since Feb 25. Since 21 there has not been an opportunity to apply for a TL position until this year. Which I was successful in although we have no permanent positions open. 1/?

@p_terg The 5 in my team is planning on retiring at the end of the year. My boss wants to offer that position to one of the recent successful 5’s. I’m going to ask is she can move my 5 to my current team and this other person can have old spot.

@p_terg It just sucks. I get it logically. I understand that I don’t own my TL role. It just feels so unfair that I have passed the test. I have been doing the work longer and more consistently and what for. To go back where I started. To a team that’s changed so much since I left

@p_terg None of this was my choice. Had they not decided I was to back fill another TL then I would have remained on my own team and moved into the TL role there. It would have been mine that way after being successful in the interview. Now I’m being screwed because of it.

This means that I revert back to my substantive at the end of this contract. I’ve always know this. Today though I got told that I’ll be going back to a team where someone else who won a TL role will be my TL…. In a role I haven’t done for 2 years where it’s changed. 2/3
