I don’t think people quite understand how much Jeffries is propped up by AIPAC. He’s their top recipient out of 435 House members despite not having a remotely competitive race in 2024; they give him 12X more than his second biggest donor. Without them his career doesn’t exist

I dont think this is a fair characterization of Khanna, who has been increasingly vocal against what Israel is doing to the Palestinians. Nevertheless it was a good interview and Scahill was right to press him on the inherent contradiction in Khanna's position. If anything it further opens the overton window on this issue.

A reminder that recent human rights reports from a range of organizations have documented Israeli campaigns to deliberately kill civilians including targeting children and targeting the genitals of young men. They also have instituted mass sexual violence, including training dogs to rape Palestinian hostages, have systematically destroyed Gaza's health care system including murdering its doctors, they have killed hundreds of journalists for covering these crimes.
