High-orbit Starlink integration: reflectors mounted on existing satellite buses. Comms + power. One launch, two functions.

We're working on a novel approach to space-based solar. Thin-film reflectors instead of heavy photovoltaic panels. Seawater cooling instead of space radiators. Here's the logic: Launching PV panels into orbit is expensive because they're heavy. A reflective film does the same job — intercepting sunlight — at a fraction of the weight. 5m² of our film folds to 12kg. Deploy in orbit. Reflect sunlight to ground stations. Generate power 24 hours a day. Traditional space solar: ~10-50W per kg launched. Thin-film reflection: ~400W per kg launched. That's 8-40x better before optimization. The physics isn't new — NASA studied inflatable reflectors in the 1990s. Solar sails have been deployed successfully by JAXA (IKAROS, 2010) and The Planetary Society (LightSail 2, 2019). We're applying the same material science to power generation. One thing: this doesn't compete with @SpaceX. It's complementary. SpaceX launches heavy things — we make the things worth launching lighter. The cheaper Starship makes access to orbit, the more viable thin-film power constellations become. A rising tide lifts all payloads. The same thin-film technology can also integrate with Starlink on high orbits — turning communication satellites into dual-purpose nodes that relay data AND beam power. Shared launch mass. Shared infrastructure. Mutual benefit. For cooling: seawater. Microsoft's Project Natick proved underwater data centers work — PUE near 1.0, failure rate 1/8 of land servers. We house servers at the coast. The electricity that powers AI compute cools the system — passively. One loop: Orbit reflectors + Starlink integration → ground stations → electricity → coastal AI servers → seawater cooling → compute → KEY minted. Electricity isn't just money. It's infrastructure. And infrastructure works better when it's shared.
