The Sicker You Are, The Worse You’ll Get: The Surprising Truth About NAD+ One of the most powerful insights I took away from my recent conversation with @KikelAlex on peptides and health optimization was this: NAD+ is not a fix-all. As Alex explained, when your body and mind are in a good place—balanced, rested, stable—NAD+ can give you a noticeable lift. You feel sharper, more resilient, and even emotionally better. It’s the definition of optimization. But—and this is a big but—when you’re already unwell, whether physically run-down or in a low mental state, NAD+ doesn’t work the same way.
