TBH, I didn't expect anything shocking/revealing from this interview. No confrontational quotes about teammates or the coaching staff, that's just not who Sengun is, and it never will be. But I did expect some sign that he's AWARE. Aware that his standing around the league has dropped hard. Aware that he keeps absorbing blame for other people's failures. Instead, he shielded the entire playoff loss himself, again. I evaluate this as a sign of maturity but at the same time, it's a sign of a player who doesn't have the ego of a superstar. And the Udoka part is what gets me. The man has thrown him in front of the public and damaged his image more than once, and Sengun sounds like he'll love him no matter what. I've never seen a star, or even a star candidate, let that happen like it's nothing. Once a bad reputation sticks to you in this league, it's a stain, and you have to be perfect to scrub it off. I hope he can. But I don't think he fully realizes that the general view of him is at the lowest point of his career, and that's what disappoints me. So I'm adjusting my expectations for next season. Not that my opinion matters, but I know a lot of his fans feel exactly the same way

@xAhmetYildirimx I guess Sengun is happy with his current situation. He gets to stay Udoka's designated scapegoat after every loss, and KD stans get to trash him after every missed shot. If he's fine with that arrangement, then silence really is the best answer.

Do you even read what I type? He can point at the broken offensive scheme without naming a single person. Nobody believes a locker room is made up of the sweetest people on earth. And if this really is how he feels, then there's no reason for anyone to defend him the next time Udoka throws him under the bus, because at that point Sengun is volunteering to be the scapegoat. He could just as easily say something like 'we'd have a better chance of winning with more shooting around me.' It shouldn't be his responsibility that teammates keep bricking the wide open looks he creates for them. And if Sengun genuinely enjoys playmaking for non shooters, then fine. Let him enjoy it. You have no solid argument and you quickly consult to insults. Grow up, kiddo.

Your position is braindead. If you think Sengun should just accept everything as it is, then you must be enjoying his current trajectory. I'm not. I never said he has to throw anyone under the bus. He can acknowledge the liabilities around himself without naming a single name, so stop quoting things I never said. There's a way to state your real opinion without burning anyone, and it's not bathing in fake positivity either. I refuse to sit and watch his career decline while he gets scapegoated after every loss. It feels like you enjoy watching his status in the league shrink. @ukay71 Probably done for fun, with naive intentions, but like you said, it's amateurish. A professional athlete with an unlimited budget should be able to pull strings in the media without leaving fingerprints. More than anything, it just disappointed his fans.

It's not just fans looking down on him anymore. NBA media and the ranking crowd literally dropped him a tier after this season. And that's exactly why the interview worries me... if everything in the locker room is this positive and he's out here taking all the blame himself, then who's actually fixing the problems we saw on the court? Because those problems were undeniable. And no, I don't buy that this locker room is the sweetest collection of human beings on earth
