The Tory government have been cutting deals with companies like Palantir too often, handing them our personal data for their profit. A Labour government must end this practice and ensure AI is used to help people, not line the pockets of the super rich. theguardian.com/society/2022/j…
AI, used properly, is absolutely a key tool in bringing down NHS wait times. This is especially true for areas like diagnosis. However, this must be done with a focus on protecting patient privacy and data, and not with a view to further privatising our NHS and cutting staff.
Artificial intelligence can free up staff and provide better and faster care for patients. Only Labour will bring our health service into the digital age and make it fit for the future. dailymail.co.uk/health/article…

Labour must make AI a priority, both in terms of funding for development but also regulation. We must ensure that AI courses are taught, and that these courses also have a focus on the serious ethical dilemmas posed, especially in regard to workers' and human rights.
Though it's good to see AI moving up the agenda, this report is light on detail about something vital: 'AI for good'. It also makes a common mistake - jumping on a trend rather than leading one. AI for good must mean good for workers, for society and for the planet... 🧵
