1/ A 🧵 about the Red Cross paramedics video. So over the last two days, the Red Cross released a video that was over 6 minutes long which they state was recorded on a phone of one of the paramedics killed by the IDF in late March. The video was sent to the NYT who published an article claiming the IDF lied and executed the paramedics from close range in cold blood. I’m going to show you that the Red Cross, the NYT, and the media and multitude of propagandists who have pushed this story are lying. The vast majority of the account given by the IDF is true and accurate.

BREAKING: The WSJ reports that the UN’s Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide has been dismissed after refusing to say that the campaign in Gaza fits the definition of a genocide based on the evidence. Alice Nderitu, an accomplished mediator specializing in genocide prevention, led an office that issued a guidance paper on the proper use of the term “genocide.” The paper emphasized that UN officials should “adhere to the correct usage” of the term due to its political and legal sensitivities and its frequent misuse to describe large-scale crimes against specific populations. Nderitu, who has served at the UN since 2020, was dismissed for asserting that Israel’s war with Hamas does not constitute genocide. She explained that while the conflict has caused significant loss of life, Israel’s actions aim to dismantle a terrorist regime, not to exterminate an ethnic group. She also noted that Israel has made efforts to minimize civilian casualties, even as Hamas uses civilians as human shields to exploit their deaths for propaganda. Her position clashes with UN Secretary-General António Guterres’s manufactured narrative. The UN is not neutral or impartial when it comes to Israel— you can’t deny it now.

@_FlipMan I would have agreed last year, but then I went to Taiwan and had Chinese/Taiwanese food. It is the best. I’m not a big fan of Chinese food in the US, but it is amazing in Taiwan.

These are the underground tunnel cages in Gaza where Israeli hostages were held by Hamas, including children. 5-year-old Amelia Aloni’s drawings were found there. The atmosphere is dense air with little oxygen and terrible humidity that makes breathing difficult, according to the IDF. The IDF located the entrance to the tunnel in the home of a Hamas terrorist. 20 known hostages were kept there. The IDF collected DNA evidence to confirm.

The US Supreme Court allowed Alabama to go ahead with the execution of Matthew Reeves, an intellectually disabled Black man. Justice Barrett voted against permitting the execution. Justices Kagan, Breyer, and Sotomayor also voted against the execution and published a dissent.
