While Yuma Composite Index (YCX) captures price movements using market cap weights, the Composite Fund reflects full token economics, including yield generation. Year to date, estimated Composite APY has ranged between ~35% and 55%. YCX serves as a relevant benchmark as it tracks aggregate subnet token price performance in a market cap weighted framework, similar to major equity indices. It reflects both price and issued token supply, without artificial jumps from new subnet registrations. We estimate that 9% of subnet token value is held in strategies that MUST remain liquid, regardless of the Conviction upgrade's incentives, and could grow to 60%. This requirement means it is not feasible to lock these subnet tokens, affecting a majority of subnet token value if Bittensor follows the trends of other markets as they mature.
