Not sure what else Braxton Garrett needs to do to earn a longer look from the Marlins at the big league level. He struggled in two short MLB starts in May as he's returned from TJ, but has tossed 24 consecutive innings without an earned run in AAA. 27 K to 6 BB in that span.

@IAmEddySalazar If Eury was brought back and continued to get outs but got deeper in pitch count but still has a perfect game, you may be stuck in an even worse situation. So I get the decision to lift him cleanly before 8th. Bullpen has been stellar but not this time.

@IAmEddySalazar That’s a fair point but it also means that erring on the side of caution, especially if your own advisors think it’s the best for Eury and the team, is not the wrong move either. I believe this was an informed group decision, right or wrong.
