The reason something like @databricks LTAP matters is that agents hit your data way differently than people do. They read for context, loop, try things, then write back thousands of times you can't predict. Those round trips between operational and analytical systems are where it bottlenecks. I've watched @Snowflake get hammered on 'open' for years. The Iceberg and Polaris work since 2024 is the actual answer to that critique, and most of the market is still grading them on 2023 vibes.
