I’ll be honest, I exclusively use blueprint visual scripting and depreciating will cause me to reconsider my use of UE in the future. Visual blueprints allow me to create simple to complex systems without the worry of misspelled or case-sensitive code issues. It saves me tremendous time by avoiding tedious code typing when I can have an entire string of code done within a matter of minutes through node and data pin execution. The UE visual blueprints empower developers beyond understanding. It also provides much more accessibility to developers with educational inhibition to code learning. Visual blueprints are what I teach my high school students and they love the system so much because it made game development approachable at an early level. @UnrealEngine please consider reverting the decision to deprecate and keep it permanent.

Catastrophically awful decision. Blueprints single handedly enabled me to make my dream game project a reality. I will not be able to develop any games with Unreal Engine 6. Immensely disappointing. And I had defended UE up until now.

Learn to read. I said Game Design! You can program an entire game in blueprint. All systems & functionality is available as long as you don't need to touch the source code which you shouldn't do anyway. It is absolutely possible to develop a large scale game in Blueprints.

@IRCSS I just don't see the performance cost of Blueprint? If you want to hit stable FPS, you get better results disabling Lumen and switching to forward rendering. But it's exactly these next-gen graphics features that is killing AAA performance but big studios are addicted to it.

@Vitek00710 Blueprint is the fastest way to design Gameplay. You see the flow of your code on runtime and better understand how things work and don't need to deal with syntax and compiler bullshit. You don't need to wait for an engineer to program system for you. Using C++ is a downgrade.

Kojima has always sucked. His writing is trash. It's the artists and game programmers that work for him that carry the games. Kojima's purpose is to be a cult of personality for marketing.
