LogViewPlus v3.1.9 is now available with support for FIX audit logs. FIX messages are niche, but they provide a great opportunity to showcase how LogViewPlus handles custom log file formats. Check out our FIX parser in action in our latest video:

@PaulCEden Given the size of the file and resource availablity, auto-filters may not be the best search option as these are applied with every keystroke. What happens if you use a find filter instead (CTRL+F)? See also: logviewplus.com/docs/performan…
@gamesover Nothing like that currently exists. The problem is the large number of format variations (even 'standard' ones). Often when we are made aware of a format which is not auto-detected we just update LogViewPlus to add detection. The key is making sure we are aware.
@gamesover Hi James - for this log entry, I would recommend using the DsvParser with the pattern:
%p,%t,%d{MM/dd/yy},%d{%H:mm:ss},%c,%m%n
Date and time are parsed separated, but internally, there is only one DateTime representation (for easier filtering): logviewplus.com/docs/dsv_parse…

LogViewPlus v3.0.6 is now available. This release extends the SQL reporting features introduced in v3.0. We plan to begin rolling this release out to all existing customers beginning in the next few days.
@LifeLongThinker I am very happy to try and make this more transparent. Currently, we mention it on our purchase page, the purchase email, and all renewal emails. Those are all communications in the 'paid' flow. Do you have any suggestions on how we could improve our communication?
@LifeLongThinker We also offer a 3-year renewal with a 75% discount. The longer term isn't 'forever', but it might help. It's also cheaper at $11.25 per year.
@LifeLongThinker It's unfortunate that we do not yet have a customer portal to better handle your situation. There's just not enough hours in the day for all the things I want to build. :-) Normally, people contact me directly via our contact page and I can sort it out.
@LifeLongThinker A 70% discount on $45 is a running cost of $13.50 per year. Again, that seems fair to me given the value add. When customers do not renew on time they usually reach out and I am always happy to give a prorated renewal discount.
@LifeLongThinker We try to strike a balance between high upfront cost required for 'own forever' software and SAAS 'rent never own'. When you buy LogViewPlus you own it forever on all of your current machines. Renewals are discounted at 70% off. For $45, that seems fair to me.
@LifeLongThinker This isn't something that we have automated because it is prorated. I can see your license expired less than a year ago. Reach out to me on our contact page and I will be happy to give you a prorated renewal discount.
@LifeLongThinker My wife and I are the only employees at LogViewPlus and we both do it part-time. Right now, we need to stay focused on the customers where we add value far in excess of the purchase price.
