Starting on December 31st, over 8 million SSI beneficiaries and 63 million Americans enrolled in Social Security will begin to see an increase in benefits. Maximum monthly payments for individuals and couples will increase by about fifteen dollars.

There’s good news coming for people with disabilities who receive Social Security or SSI in 2020. Due to a cost of living adjustment which is mandated by law, the SSA announced that benefits will rise by 1.6 percent in the upcoming year.
