I can understand being frustrated by a wave of low-quality creations, but at the end of the day I think everyone is just trying to have a good time. I know I had a lot of fun making stupid little games and mods when I was a kid and I feel like something similar is happening here.

The Angry Birds Movie DVD has a "Symphony Mode" Bonus feature. Which plays the film without any sound effects or dialogue. I really wish other films had this as a bonus feature cuz this is actually really cool!

The animation clearly isn’t AI but is also probably just test animation given how different Thomas looks to the final. But like…we cannot blame people for thinking this shit is AI. Personally I’m still not convinced it’s not in someway AI assisted at the very least.

Currently testing something out on Trainz where all objects get affected by snow, so that it looks a lot more realistic than it did (notice how all the clutter assets and buildings now have snow on top!)

@cinnabowlii I actually agree with all of this since there's so many more tactful/respectful ways to handle Nia, but I'm curious what parts of her characterisation were actually unique to Kenya beyond saying "I'm from kenya" every few minutes - this is more a gripe at BWBA's stereotyping tho

@cinnabowlii like the vibe i got with her shed being stroyed was that it was like, some random storm or something, it wasn't like "my old line closed because the railways here aren't funded well" or something, it just felt kinda.... flippant, in terms of writing.

@cinnabowlii see the problem I think is more that her backstory was just kinda, painfully vague and generic? like it wasn't made to be anything directly connected to kenyan history, she's just 'homeless train' but it's not shown to be anything culturally systemic, she just got unlucky.

@cinnabowlii like it REALLY bothers me that nia not being able to count wasn't shown to be because she'd learned a different numeral language used in Kenya like kiswahili or hindu-arabic or something, but they totally missed the opportunity and made it like she just didn't know because, "idk"
