Dog Callout 27th August 2023. 3 of the teams dog handlers travelled to Doncaster to assist @syptweet @woodheadrescue and @York_SAR in a search for a missing person. Search dogs Hope, Dottie, Bolt and Ebba all lent a paw to the search effort. @MRSearchDogsEng @MountainResqUK

@traceydisco Yes she is the sister of useless Jake and Geoffrey. They are still happy though Jake's legs are slowing down. The drop out rate for mountain rescue dogs is very due to our tough standards. We should do a post about former trainees one day. Their working life post SARDA.

DOG FIND. Operational callout 80 for our volunteer handlers in 2023. Search Dog Wren of @Buxton_MRT found an elderly gentleman who got lost on open moorland and drifted into a deep gully before running out of energy and calling for help. 1/2

Sad news about retired Search Dog Poppy. Search Dog Poppy graded in 2012 and enjoyed a long and busy working life. She retired in 2020 as one of the oldest search dogs in MRSDE. She attended countless callouts and always had energy when to play with her human brother and sister.
