Yesterday, Magpas Air Ambulance was dispatched to a train collision in Bedfordshire. Three Magpas Air Ambulance critical care teams attended the scene, triaging and treating 30 of the most seriously injured patients in their time of need. Read more: magpas.org.uk/magpas-air-amb…
We have responded alongside East Anglian Air Ambulance, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, London Air Ambulance, Midlands Air Ambulance and The Air Ambulance Service, as well as additional emergency services. Please avoid travelling to the scene, and only call 999 in an emergency.
Magpas Air Ambulance has activated three teams to the major incident in Bedfordshire today. The Magpas Air Ambulance helicopter was dispatched at 17:19, and two rapid response vehicles subsequently responded at 18:26 and 18:54.
We have sent a number of resources, including air ambulance and our Hazardous Area Response Team, to a major incident on the railway south of #Bedford. We encourage people to avoid the area. Further updates will be provided in due course. Please only call 999 in an emergency.

Following a new UK-wide research study published yesterday, we’re proud that Magpas Air Ambulance is contributing to the East of England having the highest 24/7 air ambulance provision in the UK.
Did you know? Our air ambulance can be airborne within within 3 minutes and flies at speeds of 170-200 miles an hour, landing in places not always accessible by land ambulance. It is only with supporters like you that we can continue to save lives 24/7, 365 days a year.

It's not just our volunteers who got crafty this Christmas! Our charity team also rounded off the year with an afternoon of Christmas crafts, Secret Santa swapping and showing off our festive furry friends with a 'MagPets' photo competition!
Our CPR and defibrillator training with the Offord WI earlier this year clearly made an impression... We love this incredible 'bystanders can be lifesavers' themed Christmas tree that they've created for this year's Offord tree festival! A message we wholeheartedly agree with 🧡
On our final day of rapid fire Christmas questions, we asked the clinical team: What are you doing this Christmas? We are only able to continue providing lifesaving care this Christmas thanks to our generous supporters. With you, we really do save lives.
