@Aecernist Yeah, packed snow isn’t great, even with studs. I didn’t ride to work for most of last January because that last bit of road was just too sketchy.

We’re well into the cold part of fall. Just last night, I was wishing I still had the lobster mits I lost a few years ago. This morning (while looking for a headlight mount that I never did find), I found them! They were wadded up in a grocery sack wedged behind the tv.

The U.S. would be a much better place to live if high schools had to teach how income taxes are actually calculated. Almost nobody is paying more than 15% of their paycheck in federal income taxes.

Most people have been brainwashed into believing income taxes are necessary for a country to flourish. It's been so effective that people defend getting robbed of 20-60% of their income every year for their whole life. One of the government's greatest tricks of all time.
