Oh, that. If the crossroads mattered it would have been at the beginning of the movie. Honestly it didn't matter, the story was over, what would be the point of going after the girl? The ending shot should have been Hank relating his time on the island and a slow pan out and away from the plane, showing the ocean below, roll credits.

My favorite character in all of Star Wars was introduced in the Heir to the Empire Trilogy; Grand Admiral Thrawn, and he is even more of a threat at a percentage of the resources and strength of the Empire than both Palpatine and Vader. He was an outsider arisen to the highest supreme authority through skill, intelligence and cunning, he was more than a match for the heroes and his end is truly Shakespearean. Excellent character.

Then the story could have ended at his rescue with the plane scene. It didn't need an extra twenty minutes on the end. Also, it was basically an add about how loyal FedEx employees are to ensuring that people get their packages. Which may not have hit most people, but really stuck out to me as insanely odd way to end your film.

V for Vendetta is an Anarchist's wet dream where a Protestant-coded Far Right regime oppresses gays and liberal traitors, thus insuring that a madman from an insane asylum plots their overthrow with the help of a lesbian and random civilians with LARP cosplay. Shawshank Redemption is about a wrongfully imprisoned man being f*cked over by the state and becoming the criminal that he is accused of being by the end--participating in corruption and racketeering while in prison is not a wise move, if you are wrongfully accused you should endeavor to maintain your innocence all the more. Titanic, ironically not for the reason that people usually critique this--it should have been a period piece about the horrible "incident" that resulted in the deaths of all the important men who would have been against the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913--it should have been about these covert assassinations instead, or at the very least, people who actually were on the ship and survived. Avatar--feminism and GWOT on an alien planet but the MC is a literal RACE traitor and dooms humanity in his ill-fated rebellion. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty for it's heavy-handed pro-regime stance by placing immense emotional authority on an institution like Time Life--Journalists are good people and have fun, quirky lives that anyone would be jealous of. 🤮 Never saw Remember the Titans, but any sportsball movie is goyslop and for the most common denominator, and that is the perfect time to instill the most Boomer propaganda. I will conversely follow up with a few examples of good propaganda against the Boomer worldview, that is closer to what the RW believes.

@YesSir8752 @southronsol @FromKulak Kill Bill is about an empowered feminist killer who takes revenge on her lover--who is a very violent man, that somehow lets her live--for abandoning him to go marry a beta male (who gets iced in the opening). Fun film, but the Bride is neoliberal feminism personified.

@BWLH_ I read Andromeda Strain when I was nine and was almost convinced that it happened sometime in the 60s. It was one of the first science fiction books I ever read. Him and Heinlein were my favorite authors growing up .
