I-95 ranges between 55-75mph. It averages about 65mph. The best estimates put the median speed of drivers at 70mph across the whole thing. So half of drivers are exceeding that. In a 55mph zone 70 is already 25% over. In a 65, 80 is 25% over. So you’re probably seeing it every single day and a very, very small portion of them get pulled over for it. For reference, in a 30 you only have to go 37 to be 25% over which is VERY common.

That can be the difference between being fired or not. 8 minutes is more time between when the first shot was fired and JFK reached the hospital. 8 minutes was longer than the first atomic bomb was in free fall. 8 minutes is more than enough time to change the course of history- or the course of your own life.

@ZapfLOL @DuckieLouise “Literally doesn’t save time” “30 seconds at best” “you just are” (as oppose to “you’re also”). All language clearly indicating that the primary argument is that speeding doesn’t save time and that additional danger is a secondary argument.
