I can’t stress enough how little an idea matters compared to the agency of the people executing the idea. I have had the privilege of knowing and sometimes even working with some of the most successful people (by various metrics). The difference between mediocre and excellent work and outcomes is predominantly one of agency. In practice this means: they dont wait for things to happen to them they go out and make things happen for them. They don’t wait for someone else to do something, for someone to teach them, for someone to give them the path, etc. They just go out and find a way to do it. I think the single biggest superpower these people have is the realization/belief that the world around them is completely mutable. Most everything that happens is because a person made it happen. I used to tell people to look around the room you’re sitting in. Look at everything. Every noun. It almost all exists because a person willed it into existence. Nothing is stopping you from doing the same. I see people online all the time dismissing someone else’s success because “I had that idea first” or whatever. I mean… yeah? If so then the difference is… you. So a bit of a self own whenever I hear that. Number one tip: act with agency.

It is scary how authorities tried to shove it under the carpet by calling it turbulence for 6 days. AI2379, Phuket to Delhi, August 4. An A320 lost around 300 feet over Odisha. 20 passengers and four cabin crew were hurt. The first accounts said severe turbulence. Air India changed the wording to a sudden loss of altitude in cruise on 10 August. Now the cabin crew have told the airline what they saw. The captain was sitting on the floor of the flight deck, trying to light a cigarette, needing help back into his seat. Unable to walk properly after landing in Delhi. His confirmatory lab test has come back positive for marijuana. Imagine the scale at which our processes failed, allowing something so preposterous to happen. The first process failure is that a pilot can clear the pre‑flight check with a perfect score yet be unfit to sit in the left seat. See, every pilot blows into a breathalyser before the flight but that machine only looks for alcohol, so Cannabis does not show up on it. To account for this, DGCA made it mandatory from January 2022. Airlines have to randomly test at least 10 percent of their flight crew every year. Ten percent a year means nine out of ten pilots go untested in any given year. Those are good odds if someone is willing to take them. Then there are the humans: dispatch, ground staff, and the crew at the aircraft door. People who saw him board and must have known something was wrong. Infact, the co-pilot who took the controls, steadied the aircraft and got it to Delhi, flagged it to the ground, which is the only reason a drug test was ordered instead of the routine breathalyser. The cabin crew put their complaint in writing. It's surprising that a marijuana‑intoxicated person could pass the cockpit entry process undetected. But a captain who could not stand up straight was in command of 145 people. Nothing can erase that blot on Air India's reputation now.

FDA has suspended the licences of 4 Domino’s outlets after serious food safety violations were found: - Veg and non-veg food not properly separated. - Problems with food storage, temperature checks, food testing, cleanliness, and pest control. - Raw and cooked food not properly separated. - Poor hygiene and safety practices. This is exactly how food safety rules should be enforced. And this was not just Domino’s. The FDA inspected 104 chain restaurant establishments across Maharashtra, with 2 ordered to stop business, 95 served improvement notices and 5 licences suspended. Huge respect to you, Sir.
