MSII filtering can be applied to #RTI/ #PTM datasets when converted to 3D. Great cooperation with LDA Sachsen-Anhalt and @Fraunhofer_IFF creating a curvature based 2D/3D benchmark dataset. 👇👇👇

#NewRelease with #glTF export by @EStoetzner for Linux, which is not complete in terms of color support for #3D #meshes. @nfdi4culture @nfdi4objects There are also other smaller fixes and improvements (see gigamesh.eu/news/).

Reason seems to be a compute time optimization for fast rendering. This will also cause issues for import capabilities and tasks like (re)editing #3D #annotations.

Currently experimenting with a glTF export function. Interestingly this format is not very efficient as files are three(!) times larger than ASCII PLYs or OBJs. Not very well suited for long term storage and archival #FDM #researchdatamanagement #3D @nfdi4objects @nfdi4culture

@Jyotshn00384623 It is only inactive if no texture image(s) could be loaded. This happens e.g. when the MTL file of an OBJ is missing. Sometimes file- and directorynames with special characters like German Umlaute can be another reason. Please contact [email protected]

Eine neue KI kann schwer zu lesende Texte auf Keilschrifttafeln entschlüsseln. Entwickelt wurde sie von einem Team der MLU, der Hochschule Mainz & der @uni_mainz. Die KI nutzt statt Fotos 3D-Modelle der Tafeln & liefert deutlich zuverlässigere Ergebnisse. mlu.de/f21my

@InDaWilderness The easiest fix is to have Inkscape installed. You may have to set the path to the executeables in "Settings" - "External Programs". GM works also without Inkscape. It is useful for profile lines, which are directly opened in Inkscape for editing. (YT Tutorial Video #4)
