People in their 20s may not remember how controversial cell towers were in some places, but I think the obvious benefit (your region will have 3G) destroyed the vague objections. Now it’s like, you will gain nothing from this, this data center is for people 2,000 miles away

@flyosity @mike_matas I have an original Nest in our house. Imagine my surprise when I went to an ABNB and couldn't immediately use the UI on this one. This newer nest has one of the least intuitive UIs I have seen on a modern thermostat. It may be pretty, but that UI that Google designed is bad.

Dentist did a 3D X-ray of my jaw before a root canal and said I wouldn't be able to open the raw data, it needs specialized software. It's 800 DICOM files. Asked Claude Code to make me a viewer. Two prompts later... this is nicer than what he showed me on his screen.

the major ai companies should commit to a real time priced API product. ai demand varies wildly over a day/night curve and the industry is broadly extremely capacity crunched. meanwhile agents make dealing with variable pricing, batching, and projecting total costs very easy
