.@danawhite says one of the keys to longevity is to block out all negativity: “It never even crosses my mind that something's not going to work. I just keep going until it does work.” “There's this Bruce Lee quote where he says, ‘Never say negative things about yourself or what you're working on even if you're joking, because your body doesn't know the difference.’” “I never take in any negativity.”
💯 I have 3 of them!!!
Every head coach knows this: A great assistant changes everything. They lift your culture. They protect your standards. And they determine how far your team can really go.
3/29 🤔’s from Oceans Edge Key West 🌅🏝️🌊🎣 Some thoughts that helped me in leading others….. Clarify Expectations and Hold People Accountable Everyone on your team needs to have clear expectations of what success looks like in their role. Don’t assume people know expectations and deadlines–take time to verify you are both on the same page. Your goal is to set them up for success when you follow up because you want to catch them doing well so you can recognize them for doing a good job. ALSO, it’s more challenging to hold people accountable if you have first verified that expectations were clear. And you have to hold people accountable if you are a leader. Nothing will crush your culture faster than having your all-stars realize they are getting treated the same as the people on your team who are consistently late and missing deadlines. Make a difference today Love Clint

Today I delivered my final public speech after decades of coaching and speaking. I’ve always believed I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth simply because I was born in this great country. That’s why my commitment to the American Dream has never wavered and never will. We must protect what makes America exceptional. We cannot let God down; we must always do what’s right. And I know @A1Policy will carry that fight forward with the strength and purpose our nation needs.
Why are Dodgers swinging with zero strikes!!
The Costs of Leadership: Kirby Smart 1. You will make hard decisions that negatively affect people. 2. You will be disliked despite your best attempts to do the best for the most. 3. You will be misunderstood & won't have the chance to defend yourself.
With todays loss, the Pittsburgh Pirates DO NOT have an overall winning record as a franchise. They fall to (10877-10877) The last time the franchise was at .500 or worse was in 1903. Bob Nutting destroyed this once respected organization.
One of the top coaches in the State of Ohio, maybe the best in the State. Heck of a run and so many things to be proud of!!! The #valley #johnnies is proud of you! @CoachA8
Just left Grove High School as @GCBaseball2024 wrapped up another youth summer camp. Big news from event this morning was coach Ryan Alexander (@CoachA8) announcing he was stepping down after 18 seasons. Big loss for program.
💯 Bad teammates COMPLAIN about their role. 💯 Avg. teammates KNOW their role. 💯 Good Teammates ACCEPT their role. 💯 Great teammates STAR in their role. GREAT TEAMS HAVE GREAT TEAMMATES!
@JHDuncanII @KentMurphy Winning and beating Ohio State! 😉
John Harbaugh defines servant leadership as, “Do whatever you can to help others be their best.” “You’ve got to empower the people around you.” It’s not about power. It’s about service. Here are his 6 principles of Servant Leadership: 🧵

@CoachMNardo Haha, my only bullpens these days are BP from Bout 45 feet! Keep changing lives Coach!
I said the samething at 31 when I hung em up because of kids. Keep trying to emphasize with the ones I coach. You have some control of when it's over! Work your tail off!
In my wildest dreams, I never thought they would do this to @WVUhoops. But again, as smart as these people are, it always comes down to who’s in the room with you deciding. It has always been that way.
