Teams' VRS Anchor has remained pretty unchanged post major. Looking at Feb below though, anchor is very consistent over time. No team in Feb VRS Hell contested Cologne Qual. An inefficcient calendar can cost you severely long term. The race to make Singapore started yesterday

I think this is the first time we've seen a team that was in the Top50 reset their VRS points to 0 (if they dont get a core / keep SAW core) If so, will be interesting to see how BCG do starting from a fresh slate. Their struggle, or success, will be a useful indicator to others

@GrimyRannarr They’ve got a pretty high tcsv, which is good and bad. It means they’ve achieved a good chunk of what’s available, but that also means there’s not much more value they can gain. It’s mostly their anchor that’s holding them back, most likely caused by a lot of inefficient matches

@1festivve qualify to a Tier 1 event through an OQ or swap the core to lose baggage of old matches. A stuck team can progress, its just hard. It'll get marginally easier than before with the changes in the TOR to invite amounts but its still a tough grind.

tcvs (theoretical component value saturation) is a WIP statistic which represents how much of the available "pie" a team has eaten. While VRS is a bucketed system, teams at certain levels can only fill it up so much. A VRS rank 90 team will almost never have the opportunity to play a 1.0 BOFF team in a 1.0 stakes event. TCVS is a representation of how much possible value theyve earnt at their level. If theyve eeked out everything possible, but are still missing out on the top level, this will be because of their anchor. Teams have lower tcvs (i.e GenOne), typically because of low LANW (i.e GenOne), meaning there is still a decent amount of value at their level they can extract.
