I teach growth mindset in my classroom and I believe it’s super important to let my students see me as a human who mistakes. We say that every time we make a mistake, our brain grows. I want them to see that you can still grow as an adult.

@PersidaHimmele Honestly, I have not. We’re still implementing the same Tier 1 interventions with the same programs and I’ve yet to see any scientific evidence that proves they work. The funding in PA is still highly inequitable across the state as property taxes are still the primary funding.

@JK22460085 Well: family communication! I’ve never heard from/talked to families more than I have now. It’s nice to have that connection. Better: higher expectations and a way to instantly communicate with students outside of Google Classroom.

I’m not being super creative or innovative as a teacher right now. I’m honestly just trying to get through this a day at a time, and that’s perfectly ok. My own mental health and my family come first. We all need to take better care of ourselves. #selfcare
