@castein410 @SamanthaBahna I loved walking around the class recording videos of students working and posting on our class story. The families were so happy to finally see inside of our classroom during the day. They felt very connected!

@Dofi68410526 Dofi, I completely agree. I have seen teachers create TikTok accounts so their students (who use TikTok) can watch and create their own videos responding to the lesson! I’ve even learned some new math concepts through TikTok #EDTC618S21 @SamanthaBahna

Families enjoy watching what students are working on during the day. Students and families were able to comment. Using Google Classroom is similar to social media for me. My students are able to post on the stream and hold discussion/conversations #EDTC618S21 @SamanthaBahna

I have used Edmodo in the past since I felt it had a social media feel to it for my younger students. I use ClassDojo as our “social media”. When in the classroom, I allowed students to take photos/videos to post on our class stories #EDTC618S21 @SamanthaBahna

I’ve seen teachers creating TikTok accounts to teach their lessons or for students to create videos as assignments. I think that’s amazing, especially since that’s the latest app right now. I’ve also seen the same on IG #EDTC618S21 @SamanthaBahna

@SamanthaBahna A2: YouTube! I use YouTube for various science lessons and also to help with our Flipped Classroom model in Math. I also use it to play kidz bop when it’s time to transition throughout the day! Without YouTube, I’d have to create and record ALL of my math videos! #EDTC627F19

@SamanthaBahna A1: We meet weekly to discuss the chapters of both books and then use the remaining time to reflect on how we can implement what we’ve discussed into our classroom setting.
