God was not once a man, this is something the Church has never taught or confessed. It’s something never found in God’s Word. @BasedMikeLee It’s really simple. Mormons believe in a different Jesus than Christians do. Therefore, Mormons exist outside of Christianity. Be Mormon if you want to, just be honest about what you are and are not.

@SaltyGoat17 Inflation is the measure of rise in prices. In order for prices to go down, that chart would have to dip below zero and go into deflation. That hasn’t happened. The rate at which costs rise has slowed down. So yes, costs are still rising. They never stopped.

@JonahDispatch There was a sense that Trump was a narcissistic pig, but because goals aligned it would work for us. He wanted to be known as the greatest. If he succeeded that would benefit America. Now it seems as if goals are diverging.

@ostrachan Gas is higher than when Trump took office. Inflation is higher than when Trump took office. We’re in a war that Trump said we wouldn’t get in to. Trump has thwarted the Epstein files release so far. I guess he kept his deportation promise. Are there other things to celebrate?

So I see the chatter trying to impugn the conservative resurgence right as we’re heading into the Southern Baptist Convention this year. Yes, the machinations are obvious. Yes, what they’re doing is clear. But you know what, I’m actually not overly worried about it. Because I believe that ordinary Southern Baptists know their Bibles well enough that no attempt to suggest that the issues that necessitated the conservative resurgence—the inerrancy of Scripture, God’s distinctive roles for men and women, etc—is going to convince them it wasn’t a fight worth having. And you know what, if the Southern Baptist Convention should fall tomorrow to liberalism that allows women in the pastorate and endorses ethnic partiality, I’m not worried. Because I’ll still be standing on the Word of God with or without a Southern Baptist Convention. And there will be plenty of other Christians standing there with me.
