A proper cosy post-vet evening for Jenny. Clean cage, fresh hay, warm floor… she’s very content! And those little back legs stretched out is the ultimate sign of “I’m comfy and I know it.” #negpr #northeastguineapigrescue #AdoptDontShop #guineapigrescue

Fox is a long-haired boar, about 3 years old, joining us after his owner passed away. He arrived with mats and is receiving mite treatment. He will be castrated so he can join femalesd. Needs an owner who can care for his long-hair. Tyne and Wear | 📩 [email protected]

Guineas are sociable animals, and it’s amazing how quickly they brighten up once they have a friend by their side. The change is often instant and rewarding to see. #GuineaPigRescue #GuineaPigBonding #GuineaPigAdoption #RescueGuineas #AdoptDontShop #GuineaPigsUK #negpr

Big Adoption Day for Peanut! 💛 Today he joined four lovely older sows, and the introductions have gone brilliantly. Peanut has been such a delightful character. We will all miss him! A huge thank you to Kerry and her husband for offering Peanut such a wonderful home.

Marshmallow is extremely excited this morning after a clean out and a temporary move to another room in our house. He is having a good sniff around at all the new smells and there is lots of squeaking. Marshmallow is deaf and has limited vision so he relies a lot more on smell.

Lovely Pearl has been at the rescue for a week and arrived with long thick nails. Her long hair was urine stained and knotty. She has now had a nail trim and hair cut. She wasn't happy about that but hopefully she more comfortable and her hair should stay drier on her rump.

Bella and Pearl. Beautiful 3 year old sows. They have only just arrived so are a bit shy but we are getting to know them. They aren't keen on handling but with time I am sure they would be more confident. Based in Tyne and Wear. Adoption enquiries to [email protected]

Introducing Pickle. We were very excited to welcome her today. She is an older sow whose companion recently died. She has come to join the two older sanctuary girls here so she has companionship. She is just settling in so I will share some more photos and updates soon.

But for her disability #DonutLamb would've spent her short life as a commoditised animal 😔 If "lucky" she'd have avoided ending up as someone's Easter dinner. But aged 10 wks–8 mnths she'd have been sent to her death 💔🔪 We're glad she lives 🙏 But the others, the others... 😢
