@frothyfriar The correct way to roll for stats is to reach into your collection of dice (I measure mine in pounds, I have about 30) and grab a dice for ever potential roll, and throw em all at once. Then let the DM (not the player) assign the numbers. It is a lot more fair than it sounds.

@iamrobothead I think why most people land there, is in their head... they imagine a camera being held by a camera man (on the floor)... When you realize it is mounted on the wall it becomes immediately clear. Funny how our internal model (even when we don't realize it) influences perception.
