We discussed the narrow framing tendencies of investors, especially new investors, and how to encourage investors to engage in portfolio framing. #behavioralscience #nsecbs #investor (3/3)
This idea was inspired from Gathergood et al. 's 2023 paper where they contrast Naive Buying Diversification (narrow framing) to Naive Portfolio Diversification (portfolio framing) and prove narrow framing occurs in significant proportion. (2/3)
In our recent behavioral nook hosted by Vishwath S, we held a discussion on buying behavior of retail investors. Investors are prone to narrow framing within their buy days rather than their entire portfolio which is inefficient diversification. (1/3)
