Pray with me July 20, 2026 Father in heaven, We praise You, for You are holy, righteous, and full of steadfast love. You are the Lord who calls us to seek You and live (Amos 5:4), the God who delights to show mercy (Micah 7:18), and the faithful One whose compassions are new every morning (Habakkuk 3:17-19). Though the nations rise and fall, You remain enthroned forever. Though the fig tree should not blossom and the fields yield no food, yet we will rejoice in You, for You are our strength and our salvation. Turn our hearts fully toward You. Refine us as silver, make us faithful to Your covenant, and let our lives bring honor to the name of Jesus Christ, the promised King whose coming the prophets proclaimed. To You alone belong glory, majesty, dominion, and praise, now and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It’s very craży that 70-80 year olds are generally seen as unemployable due to physical and mental decline BUT we're allowing them to run our ENTIRE country.

Pray with me July 19, 2026 Heavenly Father, You have been faithful from the first breath You gave us until this very moment. Before we knew Your name, You knew ours. Before we learned to trust You, Your hand was already leading us. Through seasons of joy and sorrow, strength and weakness, certainty and waiting, You have never once abandoned Your children. Lord, as the years pass and our bodies grow weaker, let our faith grow stronger. As our hair turns gray and our steps become slower, let our hearts become steadier in Your promises. Keep us from fearing what comes with age, for Your Word declares, “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you” (Isaiah 46:4). Teach us to treasure every day You give us. May we not cling to fading youth, but rejoice that we are one day closer to seeing Christ face to face. Let each wrinkle remind us of Your sustaining grace, each scar testify to Your preserving mercy, and each passing year proclaim that You have never failed. Father, make us fruitful in old age. Like the righteous described in Psalm 92, may we still bear fruit, remain fresh and full of life, declaring that the Lord is upright, our Rock, in whom there is no unrighteousness. May younger generations see in us lives marked by humility, steadfast hope, and unwavering confidence in Jesus Christ. Guard our hearts from bitterness, regret, and despair. Replace every fear of tomorrow with confidence in Your sovereign care. Remind us that the God who carried us through yesterday will carry us through every tomorrow until the day You welcome us home. Thank You that our outward bodies may waste away, but our inward selves are being renewed day by day. Thank You that our inheritance cannot perish, spoil, or fade. Thank You that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. May our final years be our most faithful years, our deepest years of worship, our richest years of wisdom, and our clearest testimony to Your unfailing love. We trust You with our youth. We trust You with our age. We trust You with our final breath, knowing that the One who has been faithful all our lives will be faithful forever. In the mighty and glorious name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

She is so blessed to have a mom like that. My father would have been like that & my mother would have ultimately supported me in a manner, but I would have first and ongoing had to endure hours of being told how I'd screwed up, how bad I should feel, how it was 'all my fault.' My mother would have been the LAST person on earth I would have gone to in a crisis. But I was blessed that my dad loved like that. I bet this girl rejoices every day now with the baby that came from this, no matter how scared she was in this moment.

Pray with me July 14, 2026 Gracious Father, Teach me to work with diligence, not as one seeking the approval of people, but as one serving Christ with all my heart. Strengthen my hands for every good work You have prepared for me, and keep me faithful in both the seen and unseen moments. Guard me from laziness, distraction, and discouragement. Fill my heart with joyful expectation, knowing that You reward those who earnestly seek You, that in due season we will reap if we do not give up, and that those who hope in You will never be put to shame. Help me to wait with confidence, labor with perseverance, and trust that You are always at work, even when I cannot yet see the harvest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

For the Brokenhearted July 13, 2026 O Lord my Father in heaven! You hear the prayers I cannot find the strength to speak. Though my heart is weary and my hope feels faint, Your faithfulness has not failed. Search me, refine me, and do not let this sorrow be wasted.
